i own a gtx 155 2010
i rode a few other pwc's this weekend , a gti wake and a gti 155 2008
theres a huge difference in the first second i pull the throttle
mine doesnt kick as much as theirs , it is noticable the most when doing a 180 and then pulling full throttle, for a second, second and half i can only hear my bike screams high rpms but hardly moves, then it starts going again , that doesnt happen on the other bikes
how can i diagnose my wear ring ? do i have to take stuff apart to check it ?

I'm 100% positive your is trashed already. Hopefully the impeller is straight. Only way to tell is to pull the pump.

i took some photos from underneath the pwc

as u can see there are a lot of scratches on the wear ring
also the grate is broken , is it critical ?

Ring looks trashed....should be somewhere between .01 and .015 clearance between prop and ring....tighter is better.....use spark plug gap feeler gauges.

yeah...the grate's broke...and yes...it's critical....you do not want to be runnin down the water when it lets go. Just be thankful that it broke in back and not the front...talk about putting the brakes on real quick...heh.

As for your replacemen't ring...you get what you pay for. Buy an oem ring.

ok il go buy an oem one today, can the grate be welded ? its aluminum right ?

Got something against a new grate?...relatively inexpensive. Just be care full removing the old bolts...heat them up good first. And use some loc-tite on the new ones.

Wow...are you sure buying online and shipping would be anywhere near that high?

I'm sorry...I wouldn't trust a weld on a cast piece...under these stresses.

I doubt I welded piece would hold up under this kind if stress. Definitely needs to be replaced.

took the impeller out today, the old wear ring wouldnt come out and i didnt want to cut it
quick search on youtube brought me to a guy that suggested freezing it would help
so i put the entire thing in the freezer for one hour
that was amazing hehe, the ring just slide out :)
i put the new one in the freezer too, and then installed it, the new one didnt slide in but needed a few hammer strokes with a wood plate to get in, everything looks awesome now
heres a picture of the old one

just to get a clue, what would a used but still ok ring look like ?
new like now ? or a little scrathes is ok ?

A few scratches is normal. Sometimes after a new ring is installed in the pump..the prop will be tight to it and require a little persuasion for complete install. After the initial start up..the prop scores the ring...not unheard of. What will still be required though is the clearance between prop and ring. Again...tighter is better.

The freezer trick works like a charm every time. The one you pulled out looks like its in pretty bad shape. You'll see a big difference with the new ring for sure.

just got back from the beach, tested it out, theres a difference but certainly not a big one
still when doing a 180 and then pulling the throttle hard it screams more than it moves
what else could be wrong with it : / ????

One of two things. To confirm though. When you floor it the engines go high but the ski takes off slow, yes?

If so, it is either the carbon seal allowing air directly into the impeller or the drive shaft spline is wipes out. This assumes your impeller itself is not all bent up and what not.
