hi

i have a rx di 2001 and i want to remove the air intake silencer to check if is water in the throttel bodies (the seadoo was turned upside down in the water by an IDIOT!)

this is the text in the handbook - but there is no description how to make this:
DI Models
If water does not completely go out, it
may be necessary to remove the air intake
silencer then to lean the vehicle so
that water can flow out from throttle
bodies.

i know first i have to remove the 2 pices left and right of the big black box but HOW i remove THE BIG ONE? thks 4 the answers

ciao from vienna how

Im pretty sure you have to remove the exhaust pipe to take the airbox competely out... on the XP model you do.

Its pretty easy if its like the XP just a pain.... Take the bolts where the pipe and y-pipe meet. and then on the Xp's there is a ring clamp that holds the pipe together, once your remove that the pipe separates near the bottom. I am not sure if yours is similair.

Also, the bottom bolt on the top of the pipe should be a nut with a stud. The pipe is actually slotted to you can slid it up and out. Took me a while to understand that.... If its the same you should be good to go now.
