I removed the cylinders of my 1994 GTX last night (still coupled to the exhaust manifold) and there is a hose barb (probably 1/4" hose) coming out the bottom of the exhaust manifold towards the port side with a 90 degree turn. I did not notice it when removing the manifold and I did not remove a hose from it. There is no mystery hose in the area? What attaches to this barb?

thanks,
Brett

Drain line....

Brett....that's a drain line. When the ski is shut down, it's designed to drain the water from the system. Not so important that it be hooked up during the season.

The hose is suppose to run to the back of the ski and connect to the calibrated elbow, directly next to your cooling outlet from the engine.

If you cannot hook it back up, it would be a good idea to open and drain that manifold manually, if it's going to sit up for a while.

But, it's just a gravity drain. No importance to cooling the engine.
