Help!

Big trouble here. Our ski rope went into the impeller.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

unbolt the intake grate and unwrap the rope. Make sure the impeller isn't damaged, and that there is no other visible physical damage. Let us know how you do...

Tangled rope!

I just did the same thing last week. I was able to use the handle to drop my grate and untangle the rope by swimming under the boat. It had caught itself between the impellor and wear ring...I had just rebuilt the pump, so I was worried about the damage. I had no way to cut the rope where it was wedged, so I pulled the plug wires and tapped the engine while I was pulling on the rope. The impellor cut it. I now have it home and took the pump assembly apart to check for damage...........not as much as a nick or scratch in the wearing ring.............these things are pretty durable!........
