Anywho..had her out yesterday with the Harley boys.(they gotta go so damm fast!!!)View attachment 66546
The Harley guys ride fast? Depending on the bike Harelys are only safe when going fast in a straight line and not having to stop quick. LOL

Just seen these 2 posted 25 minutes from me, 800.00 for the 2, says they ran when parked. Think they would be desirable? Not that, that matters to me, as long as I like them, that’s all that really matters

As I said, it really only matters if I like them or not. But good to know that they hold no value
Definitely somebody will pay a good price for them. Too easy to fix, just like the 2-stroke jet skis only much easier. :) I put the Yamaha 250RD engine on the table last week. Got it cleaned up and planning to get some nice paint on there. Nuthin fancy. The engine was really really a filthy mess. Of course I gotta get the points and all that cleaned up. LOL

NOTE: I'm really looking forward to doing the RD350 but that is gonna be an engine tear down and maybe rebuilding the crank. I"m gonna build the 350 to have some extra umph. :D :D Definitely expansion chambers, porting, carb work. Gone do some wheelies and smoke up the highway. :D Gonna sound bad azz and make noises people haven't heard on the highways for 40+ years.

I was just messing with you. Any old 2-stroke is just plain simple fun.
They just aren’t collectible like an RD.

I have had way too much fun on a Kawasaki TS and a Suzuki RV 125

I enjoy a little ribbing, that’s one way my wife shows me affection so I’m used to it lol. At least I hope that’s why she does it.

I was just back to my mother in laws mans sons place (Lyal) to drop a wack of beer cans and bottles off for a fundraiser they do for families with children with cancer. Lyall’s wife Lisa meets me outside, we chit chat a bit, I’m looking at what they have around and there’s this motorcycle sitting at the end of their driveway, she asks me if I want it, that it’s seized and they are getting rid of it for scrap. I kicked it over and said it’s not seized. She tells me not to yell Lyal that because she wants it gone lol. She then goes on to tell me about a couple more motorcycles that are at her dads who passed a year ago or so and asks if I want them too😊. She tells me one of them is an old gold wing, can’t remember what the other one is, and that it ran when it was parked some time ago and that her dad used to take her on it a lot. I know there’s nothing special about this Kawasaki but the price is right and it’s old, I like old. I’m not sure what year it is, but I’m guessing 70’s. We will be going there for Thanksgiving, my wife is going to give Lisa hell then, lol

Oh I'd have to replace the exhaust with some Kerkers or something. :D I like to customize and I like exhaust with attitude. :D I think that's GREAT !! SAVE the BIKES !! Good Luck !!

On a side note, I wouldn't mind finding a Kawasaki 500 HI or 750 H2 in a barn for a decent price. :D These people are NUTZ for what they are paying.

Hopefully I will make some time this week to pick this up, I don’t want to leave it there to long now, knowing that they would like it gone. From the picture, any idea what this bike even is?

Just a guess KZ 650 1977 or so but that' just a guess. I was not into 4-strokes back then. :D I bet it'd be a fun bike to scoot around on and ride 2-up. I can't stand having the passenger sitting above me.

I got it home today, it’s a 1978 KZ400 series B, had the 6 speed transmission unlike the cheaper series C lol. 36HP I believe, made for commuting. Probably never get around to looking at it, but I won’t be able to resist throwing a battery in it and checking for spark, and putting a little fuel in the plug holesF7DB1C0A-A21D-4FE4-8BB4-00DD231C352A.png2E8E9991-0C6C-42F5-997A-5C71A2CE8EEA.jpeg

You were close, I couldn’t remember if it had 2 or 4 cylinders, when I picked it up today that was the first thing I looked at, seen it was 2 cylinders shucks. Regardless of whether it ever runs again or not it will be fun to try

Way easier than any jet ski. You can see the engine. :D :D
