So my 97 spx runs ok with rebuilt carbs/fuel lines, etc but it cuts off every now and then. Today I decide to clean the RAVE's and recheck the plugs. Mag plug looked ok with the right color but PTO plug was slightly rich and ~ 1/16" of the ground electrode was gone (and I don't think it was like that 9 gallons ago). Any thoughts on what could cause it? I did find a rusty connection on the bottom of the coil?? where a bunch of ground wires go.....its in the rear electrical box at the very bottom on the piece that the two plug wires go. Anybody got any thoughts??
