well i finally got to register the jet ski today. now i got the itch to ride now that its legal. not like it stopped me when i bought it in the winter. all i need is mother nature to stop being such a bitch and gives us some warm weather here in new england. and its been raining for 4 days. enough already.

Go anyway, I was out for the first time on April 9 and it wasn't exactly warm here. It was a great ride, the lake all to yourself, I really didn't feel the cold. I've been three times since. This weekend is supposed to be decent, 75 on friday, 78 sat., rain sun.

I need to put six hours on my GTI for my "break in" before I head up to NY next month. So, some nice weather and a few days off would be nice!!

I'm thinking about hitching up tonight and leaving out early tomorrow. Only low 70's, but maybe nice for a casual cruise for awhile.

They just changed the forecast here, 80 on fri, 82 sat. Goin to the lake fri. noon, comin back sun. morning.

Revised:
I was a little hasty, just checked with the wife, were going fri, 4:30, but we are onlyl 30mins, should be able to get a decent ride in friday. Still coming home sun morning. XP's already at the lake.

I hear ya...
I bought these at the end of the season last year. 20 grand out and i have a total of 6 hours on them...
I am SERIOUSLY looking for some decent weather....

Well I had planned to go Friday morning. Friday evening, all Saturday - this Wednesday was calling for rain. Thursday I woke up at 5:30 and spent from around 6:30am to 7:00pm with little to no breaks completely detailing the crap out of my truck. (work sucks but result is awesome!). Thursday night I decide against my better judgment to drive it to my girl friends house after all that work. My front passenger brake caliper failed about half way there and I had some smokin' breaks by the time I arrived.

I left it at my gf's for the night and rigged it enough Friday evening to drive home. Come to find out Saturday morning that the rubber brake hose that I decided to replace with the caliper was a special order part so I wouldn't get it till Sunday morning. Ended up getting it and spending all Sunday replacing that and trying to flush a system that was way over do. The whole weekend turned out goregous and in the low 80's. I'm pretty upset I didn't even get to make it to the lake.

Sorry for the long rant.

I pulled mine out to get them ready for a ride yesterday. Went to church. When I left church I got a message I had a flight I had to cover... So put them back away and hit the airport an hour later....

I noticed the name Coastiejoe. Are you in the USCG?

Watson,
I was. Retired after 23 years. But I was in what they call a PSU (Port Security Unit). A bit different than the tradition CG world. Here is a pic of the boat I used for most of the tour...

Awesome! I am interested in possibly joining the CG after completing college in the aviation division. My dad's cousin Greg Via serves in the Coast Guard and does or did something similar to port security as I recall. I believe he has a desk job now though.

As you can see in my lower picture, I WAS in the Aviation department... LOL

If you have questions, contact me as I did 23 years and my girlfriend is presently in. Soon to make Senior Chief and in the YN (yeomen) department, so she pretty much knows everything...

If interested, let me know and I wills end you my personal e-mail and or cell number...

Coastie Joe,

What happened to the avatar, I really liked the old one better, it was one of my favorites.
