Gas Dried Up ... What Do I Do?

I left gas in my SeaDoo GTX 2005 PWatercrafts for way to long. They were only used 10 times. I let them sit in a gargage for 10 years with gas in them. (with block walls, not a real hot garage), They won't start after putting in new batteries.

Marine Mechanic I got an estimate from is saying for two SeaDoos with new batteries and two fuel pump assembly kits I am looking at 1,700 aprox. I think they could put in new fuel pumps instead of the whole fuel pump assembly because I see the fuel pumps are sold without the full assembly kits. Or maybe even use a fuel line cleaner?

I don't want to pay for something I don't need. I just know the gas probably gummed up the fuel pump. But I am not sure if the gas can gum up the whole fuel pump assembly because I don’t know what it is exactly, compared to the fuel pump only, without the whole fuel pump assembly kit.

I think I am looking at about 60 dollars for each pump, vs 500 dollars for fuel pump assembly per each sea-doo. Do you have any ideas on how I can know which I need without going overboard and buying the FULL assembly Or doing unnecessary work or putting in un necessary parts?

Thanks!

Welcome to the best SeaDoo forum. Wish I could help, but know nothing about your skis. I am just responding so you do not feel you are being ignored (everyone else is out on the water except you and me). Someone will get back to you. Help us out by giving a little more specific location (like in city) in case someone knows a local resource that can help you out.

Fuel systems need to be clean.
