All my upholstery in my Challenger 1800 (yr.2000) is in great condition except the front bucket seats. Cracking, fading etc. It seems that the bucket seats were heat press fitted at factory rather than sewn and stitched like the remaining bow and back seat upholstery. My friend has the same boat, but the year is a 2004 and his bucket seats are sewn and stitched from the factory. A much nicer look and feel.

Can anyone point me in the right direction for replacing these or should I just give up on OEM and find a local custom shop that may be able to custom fit something?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't have any experience with getting them rebuilt with a sewn in version... but I have seen some people parting out their Challenger 1800 (or 2000 model... probably the same). You might be able to find a set that is still in good condition? Keep an eye out on ebay or craigslist.

I replaced the captain's seat and the double wide seat with seats from Cabela's and I gained SO much space and I really like the seats:
