I posted about replacing my lcd gauge, but forgot my other question.
I had taken the front cover off and removed the back as I thought I needed to do this to replace the gauge. Note...you don't have to do this.
In removing the cover, I detached the front shock as per instructions. However, there are no instructions for putting the thing back on. I hooked it up, but cannot compress it in order to install the "arm" into the slot on the cover. It doesn't seem that this can be done without compressing it. It is pretty rusty. I am wondering if it is damaged or if I need to do something differently.
