So I am curious.. How is it that some dealers charge a freight and setup fee while other's don't?? At one dealership they list like 700 in freight and setup fee's while another dealership not only can smash their price but also doesn't charge freight and setup fees... Of course its a dealer that is 5 hours away.. Which is another concern since I hate the idea of dealing with "oh well this is warranty work and really should be brought back to the dealer that your purchased from" ... I had to listen to that when I purchased a new truck one time.. But i know that alot of dealers whether it be cars, boats, skis, etc all try and get out of doing warranty work if you didn't purchase the vehicle through them.. What do you think is the better solution.. Pay extra to stay local or pay less but deal with a unhappy local dealership for warranty work.. One of the dealerships I am looking at is 5 hours away.. But the prices are pretty good.. Example... 2011 Wake Pro 215.. MSRP 13,600... Out the door with trailer for 12,000.. I pay taxes in my home state... or a 2011 RXT 260.. MSRP 13,400.. Out the door with trailer for 11,400...

noone has to charge any kind of freight fees or any other fees except state taxes. Trust me i know i am a salesman. Alot of dealers will charge you those fees and turn around and pocket the money. Just get a quote from another dealer like the ones that you posted and show them and tell them to match the price. Most of the time they will depending on which year and model you are buying. If not tell them that you are going to take your business elseware and most of the time they will move for you.

It is amazing how dealers can work with those fees and their overall prices. It all depends on how much they wanna sell em. My buddy bought his 2 GTI's last year as left overs from 2009. He got them for 16,800 out the door including the double trailer. That was at Smith Powersports in NC. The local dealer here in KY wouldnt go any lower than 21000 for the exact same thing.

dont get me wrong there is a limit but it all depends on how much it actually costs to build the machine thats all we have to go off of. Its called markup whatever it costs to make it as opposed to what we sell for. do you really think that it costs 10,000 dollars to build a seadoo 130???? NO at the most maybe 5 to 6 6 being high. if you negotiate enough theyll move down. One good thing to do is go in and hound them as hard as you can for a few hours and then if you are not satisfied leave and wait a few days most dealers will call you within 3 to 4 days to see if you have bought and when they do call tell them that you have a great deal that they will agree to and go back and go about 500 to 1000 lower than before and tell them that you want more off because you were jacked around so much the last couple days and reassure them that they will nedd your business in the future.

Just a way to get more money, local dealer had a 2011 sea doo se for 9500 plus freight and set up plus tax was 10500 otd. Ended up driving to wv got it for 8355 otd, plus $417 in tax.
