yowza,,, that's a great package, but a solid 6+ hours each way for me, no way I can break away for a 13-14 hour round trip. (if I had the time for that i'd be heading to Norman lol)

Somebody needs to snag it tho.

edit: I texted him anyway, I might be able to clear my Friday for the long haul on that... *ugh* thats a long drive, but maybe I can get him to drive an hour south which would save me twice that.

Well i hope yah get it! i would have if it was a little bit more local to me ha

Ive driven almost a 1,000 miles in the past 3 weeks getting skis.

spoke to the guy, its a project for sure, but he's willing to help me out by heading an hour south... If all goes well, I'll be heading over there Thursday on his day off. If he gets that trailer on the road for an hour w/o a breakdown, if will make me more confident that it will make it the next 4 hours back to my place.

UMI + double trailer for $700 means everything else is gravy.

I'd hoping to maybe wrangle enough decent parts to get the 96 running without too much expense. would be a nice little ski for some goofing off when I get bored with my rxtx.

I might be willing to work with you on that, i'll have to dig into the parts pile he has and see if I can make a runner or not, with limited expense, or go the sbt route with a re-man engine, or locate an engine on my next purchase etc... got my extra garage back may 1, so I have a triple garage with tons of space so I can be patient and clean it up while I wait.

if I get lazy/greedy I can part them out and i'll be in touch if I go that route.

< not much into the 2 strokes these days, I was hoping my "fun" ski would be an older rxp, but the pickings have been slim lately, and was just on an x4 last saturday, I had forgotten just how much of a blast they are to ride.
 
Sounds good, yep, i just got another 96 xp out of south carolina, it has ODI bars, GT engineering finger throttle, and 3 button holder. I am selling all of it.

Also has a nice hydro dipped carbon fiber mirrored 96 xp stock hood i want to sell.

I just looked back at that ski package you are getting, nice hump seat too.
 
Looks like the guy who bought Matts speedster is gonna come look at my challenger to trade. I think me whispering in his ear about a monster shop bill plus upcoming memorial day might have primed him a little.... Fingers crossed

nice little ski for me to ride when i come down and visit you, as you can see the increase in my activity lately, i'm moving to bradenton next week and we (keep our fingers crossed on the unit we're trying to rent) will have a 2 car garage, so i might be back in the game in a bit, basically looking for a deal on a 4 strokes that is too good to pass up

awesome !

A few good deals have popped up here and there but all but most I either walked away from or failed to negotiate a lower due to serious concerns. But the GTX that I found in december was a hell of a deal, 1K price, needed a steering cable and nothing else. However it might be another year before I find one that sweet again.

Got the package home yesterday afternoon, seller was nice enough to meet me in middle of the state, cut the drive time down considerably.
Yellow: 96
UMI, Hump Seat with JT cover, Solas Impeller, ODI rogue, OEM cover
needs engine swap, start button, finger throttle,
Too nice not to save, have potential buyer but I might keep for myself.

Black: 95 800
Solas, complete electronics, trim tabs, grate, beach house, yellow hood (painted)
engine in a box. No steering, seat shot, missing carbs,
don't think its worth saving, but I'll decide later.

Trailer needs lights/bow stops/ fenders

Overall super package for the price, the UMI/Trailer is $700 right there the rest is icing on cake.
Loved seeing good condition solas impellers, very happy with that.
