Well I've got an 8 month old baby and the wife has been out of town a lot for her new job. I've been crazy busy. Hoping to finally take the boat out tomorrow. Not that anyone cares, just wanted to share my excitement. Got it all hooked up to the new Tahoe last night to bring to work with me today. Gotta get it cleaned up and do some maintenance. I have to say the Tahoe was nice to tow with. Here is a pic all hooked up, I'll get some more tomorrow.

It didnt :( I spent like 4 hours at the firehouse cleaning it up and doing all the maintenance and then no fun. The wife had a sore eye all week and finally went to the eye dr sat. She has a corneal ulcer and lake water sounded like a bad idea. So hopefully we make it out this coming sunday. Ill let ya know.

Finally made it out on the river for a few hours yesterday. Had a blast. Still runs like a beast. Snapped off a couple cool pics of downtown Cincinnati.

The new Tahoe is awesome. Its a great SUV that works well for the family. Tows like a caddy. I did some more research on the new GM trucks before I bought it. I know we talked about it before and why they mostly suck towing now. The standard rear end is a 3.08, but they have a 6 speed transmission now compared to the 4 speed in years prior to 2009. With the 6 speed, the 3.08 feels like the 3.42 on the older trucks with the 4 speed. So with the heavy duty tow package now, you get the 3.42 which is comparable to the 3.73 on the older trucks you are use to.

So if you decide to look at any more of the new Avalanches, look for one with the heavy duty trailering package. Its only $330 and well worth it. Glad the programmer works good for you.
