I have a 01 Seadoo RX. Can someone please tell me what the easiest way to remove that big pipe up on top (exhaust?) so I can get to the carvs and starter easier?

Remove carbs first, then you can get to that 15mm nut on the exhaust, remove bolts, and the big clamp that joins the two pipes.

There is no easy way, but the carbs come off without taking the pipe off. It sucks, but reinstalling the pipe isnt a fun job either.

You do not remove the pipe to remove the carbs or starter.

removing a 951 pipe is only required when replacing the engine. else... LEAVE IT ALONE.

buy yourself an inspection mirror and learn how to work backwards while looking into it. :D These type carbs were my first experience on a doo as well. Trust me the first time off and on is a royal PITA. You will probably leave a little skin in there as well. Once you are done you will realize it isn't really that bad. Just take your time and when it seems impossible and you want to throw the wrench across your shop...step away and take a break. That's what I had to do!!! Good Luck!!!!

Go to harbor freight or Northern tool and get yourself a couple sets of metric allen sockets....short ones, long ones, ball end ones, etc.

I actually cut down a 6mm to aid in those 951 carbs.

Oh...and theres nothing wrong with throwing tools...just make sure they are crappy tools and dont hit anything...lol

OH HUGE HEADS UP!!!! Be VERY careful pulling lines off the nipples on the carbs...they break super easy and youll be spending $100 to fix it.
