Hi ,I have a 1996 seadoo gti 717 rotax and have a small 1/4 hole in the upper manifold that comes off the motor it leaks water when its running. It looks like its a freeze out plug kind of thin so i was thing i could repair it with a sheet metal bolt covered in epoxy. Anyone ever had this problem and has any thought please let me know THANKS!!

Hi acudadude and welcome to the forum.

it's a common leak. the best way is to get it welded by someone. Some people use water putty but it doesn't last long...maybe a yr or so at most.

yes, i'd suggest getting it welded... i've never tried a sheet metal screw :) I should have tried that on my plumbing leak in the copper pipes behind my washer/dryer

i have a simplar problem... take it off bring it to a local welding shop... 15 bucks, a nice coat of paint for the looks and you should be ready to go
