engine revs high with no thrust

Yes that can be done and I have seen this discussed before. Both of my skies have the carrier bearing and seals which require a shot of grease every 10 hrs. The only issue with conversion is the groove in the drive shaft on the carbon ring version where as the bearing version has a smooth shaft without groove. You just have to position carrier with bearing and seals so that they are not on the groove.

Pros and cons: carbon ring is less maintenance but tends to leak water or suck air but is used in most models without problems. Grease carrier with bearings and seals is more maintenance with 10 hr schedule for adding grease but does not leak.

Help !! 1 of 2 engines is less the powerful

Ok I am sorry to post here
I cannot find a way at all to post a new thread
I found it twice before but I cant find it now
So I do have a similar problem
I was running fine and recently I went over a lot of seaweed one day and had to keep getting it out
So heres some info
I have a 2006 seadoo speedster 200 310 hp
This year I do not have my airdock so I have it docked in saltwater because someone stole my trailer, yes I know its not good at all...but I dont think thats the problem and I can really take it out until the end of August so help me out >>>>>

my boat is acting a lil strange..runs and starts good but it seams to only get up about 35 mph and then just stays there. Also my right engine its running higher rpms. And when i full throttle the left sounds fine but the right has the seaweed stuck sound ONLY when it gets to about 7k rpms...Not real loud like when it sounds grinding...just slightly deeper/higher/winding sound
No lights or warnings came on
I have checked in the grates and back ...nothing..
I am pretty good with figuring things out but have 0 engine knowledge
Could it be spark plugs or something with the exhaust..something simple
I have no idea... I can drive it ... its just slower and not alot of take off power.... Also like I was saying with the rpms getting high
When I full throttle...It maxs rpms and then usually tappers down when it planes off but the the right engine stays maxed and the left tappers down. I drove back today and just let off on the right engine throttle a little to keep the rpms down
but what to do ... any ideas ???

Check your engine mounts too, misalignment can cause a poor seal at the carbon ring causing cavitation and even allow water into the engine compartment a low speeds.

Now how the heck do you know that?? LOL!! Cant believe the worn motor mounts caused me the exact same problem. Thanks a million again Scale!!! Runs like a champ now.

rentless did you get your doo fixed. I've got an 06 speedster 430 and my port enginge is doing the same thing. Let me know if the carbon seal is the fix. I may need to meet up with scooper and get his opinion. If he is on the lake this weekend.
