Lately have been having a problem with having to have the DESS just perfect to get the boat to start. In the past it was pretty easy to just push it on the connection and have it start, now I have to fiddle with it a while to get it just right. Any ideas on what might be wrong?

yup!
that all you have to do... aslo check the inside of the dess key! make sure it doesnt have a bunch of pocket lint inside of it! lol.... just make sure they have a clean connection! if you have to, you can replace that post!
