With my GTX almost done, I have this one last problem to tackle. Basically, when I dunk it in the water, I insert the key, and beep beep. Great, so when I go to press and hold the start button - nothing. No solenoid clicks, nothing. I'll try it again, nothing. Usually on the third press or so it will finally turn over and start. When the starter activates, the engine turns over fast and without issue. Doesn't matter if it's warm or cold.

I was leaning toward the button being bad, but it always shuts off with one press of the button, and I can always get the button to activate the gauges without the key installed. I am stumped. Sometimes taking the key out and putting it back in works, but that just may be luck and not related. Any suggestions?

I've been looking at start issues threads for a while this morning and saw one earlier mention if the starter solenoid is bad it can take several trys to start the machine aka hit the start button several times before it actually starts up or trys to start.

Its only 10-$20 on amazon
