Cracks in dual carbs!

Found dual carbs cracked after installing new carbs...
Inspected the old ones and found cracks in the same spot on both dual carbs!
Could have went insane trying to sort this out!
Almost did...
Hopefully this helps anyone with never ending carb problems after pulling several times and rebuilding.

I think you are seeing casting marks. There really isn't anything there to crack and never heard of anything remotely like an issue.
I was looking really close because that’s what I thought at first also....
If casting markings are like gagged cracks an earth quake would do that’s the first castings markings in history like that.
Usually castings are straight lines.
Check out the photos.
Thanks

those are casting flaws, not cracks

Thought I found my problem...
Well...back to I should have found the proper rebuild kit.
This carburetor rebuild kicked my ass!
I’ve done it before but this one kicked my ass because I didn’t look for the right kit long enough and bought what I could find.
Brand new carbs fixed it.

You guys saved some carburetors from going in the garbage.
I was going to strip everything off of them that I could use for spare parts and toss them.
Your knowledge saved the carbs from the trash or recycle bin.
Thanks
