One concern I would have is, the rollers. As a general rule trailers with rollers damage Seadoo hulls. Now,,, it could be due to the bumps going down the road. On a water ride up ramp, bumpy roads would not be an issue.

If I owned a ski and lived on the water I would FOR SURE have something like what either you or Lou linked to.

One of the marinas at our lake uses these for their rental ski's, they've been using them for several years and seem to work well.

We have two of the HydoPort 2's. Seem to work fine for loading and unloading, although my 2006 GTI SE 130 never likes to center itself very well on them.

The key is the attachment method to your dock. Same I'm sure with any brand. We are in a very busy area of our lake and the dock takes a beating. I have them hard bolted at the head of a slip using the standard brackets, but am considering upgrading to the heavy duty brackets used for the Hydro-Hoist boat lifts to save wear and tear on the header beam. Ours is a floating dock, if you have a fixed dock or pier the recommended attachment method is a bit different I think.

What do the hydroport 2's go for? Would a pair set me back like $5k?

I'm not certain, as we inherited ours when the property was purchased. Probably somewhere in that range depending on the hardware selected and what they charge for delivery and installation.

If I were you I'd look for used. I've seen them for anywhere from $900 to $1500 each on craigslist here in Alabama. Of course then you have to have expense of moving them and having someone install if you don't do it yourself. I think the brackets can get pricey when purchased separately too. My advice would be to shop around to see where you get the best deal, as all the brands seam fairly similar.

hydroport xl's run $1900 each plus hardware, shipping.

looks like https://www.carolinafloats.com/ is the cheapest option for new so far.

remains to be seen how similar they are to the wave armor ramps tho. there is a youtube carolina video that shows them to be fairly easy on/off.
