I am in the process of cleaning the hull on my 95 GTS. The Sea-Doo looks like it was left outside for years, with the tongue down on the trailer, so water and ?? laid in the foot wells. The hull looks like crap too.

I am in the process of following this procedure since they both looked about the same in the beginning.

My Sea-Doo is sitting on a trailer, and I do not have anyway to lift the Sea-Doo, so I am not sure how to clean the bottom of the hull. Can I slide it off the trailer, and lay it on the side? Any creative ideas?

Should I use a hull cleaner before I use the Meguiars cleaners

I've gotta do that too, so will be subscribing.

I have a lift to get it to the floor, but tried turning it over last summer on a bunch of cardboard, in the garage, and it was a beast to get past the rub rails, so I need to get it completely turned over the do some hull repair and paint this summer.

When I did my HX I had it on a cart. I slid it off far enough to do X of the bottom, then back to do Y of the hull. Then rocked it so I could hit either side. The advantage with the trailer is you have the winch to hold it. You might have to rotate the ski, but you'd need something to rest it on so you can rotate it. I would not try and rotate it on the bunks, you could break one, don't ask me how. Or build a cart. The the most expensive thing for the cart is the casters. I have about $40 into mine. Or, go to a carpet place and buy the cheapest, thickest, shag-o-liscious carpet you can get and slide it off and then put it on the trailer backwards. Really you just need to get creative. I just wouldn't put it upside down fully assembled.

I did my XP on the carpet and tipped it up and used a 2X4 in the foot well to hold it.

Well I got it clean. I used Walmart Hull Cleaner, and it used the whole bottle. I moved it around on the trailer. I did find some damage on it. There is a spot in the rear, and another on the front. I am going to hold of fixing it until I know the sea-doo runs since I have never had it in the water. This ski will teach me fiberglass too. I will need to filp it or do something creative in the fall if I can hold off until then.

I usually drain the fuel tank and remove the battery, then just slide the ski off the trailer into the grass and tip it over on the rub rail till it rests on the end of the handlebar grip, I put a piece of foam under the grip and sand, buff whatever I need to do then wash it flip it back over and use the winch to put it back on the trailer.
