Is it safe to charge the battery in the pic, with a disconnect in the positive cable, turned off?

Water, just spent several hours pulling plugs, blowing water off them, spinning the starter blowing water out of the cylinders.
Won't get it in the water till tomorrow afternoon, hope it will survive.
It's a 951.

Sitting will NOT help it at all. Ironically, less water rusts quicker than a cylinder full of water. You REALLY need to get it fired up and to the ramp. If not, the surface rust will happen quickly and it will act like sandpaper when you do get it started. It will literally eat itself..

Didn't get it to fire till after dark , and my wife and I both have to work this morning, taking it to work and will put in the water on the way home.,

Life does get in the way, we all understand that. That said, your specific issue is NOT one to delay on. The cost is an engine more often than not,,,

Good luck to you, hope it goes well.

Took it out today and ran the crap out of it for an hour.
I thought it sounded different, but could have been my imagination.
Wife thought it ran better than before. As I was getting trailer, I looked over and she's racing a 4 stroke Kawasaki down the lake. She said she beat him that way, but he handled the wakes better on the way back and was even when she turned for the dock.
So if it dies, it went down fighting.
I fogged it before I took it out of the water, and crossed my fingers.
