Hi all!
I am re-building my 1992 XP engine. All is going well but I am a little confused as when I unpacked my Piston Pin bearings I found that they are of the caged variety.
When fitted there seems to be a large degree of end float on the bearings between the inner shoulders of the piston body.
Is this normal? I thought maybe there should be washers at each end to keep the bearing more central to the con rod. I do understand that some clearance is necessary for the con rod to find its natural centre position but it does seem excessive.
Any thoughts or advice please??
