replaced the voltage regulator on my 2002 GTX RFI that sits on top of the electrical box under the rear seat.
The little plastic tab that holds the top down (there is a water tight gasket making for a tight fit) broke off during the replacement and the result is that the top does not fit snugly. It fits in back and is loose in front. My fix has been to use straps etc to tie it down, but it is not waterproof entirely, and the voltage regulator has to be taking some vibration sitting on top.
I do not need a short to blow the system again.
But I hate to buy a new top when a 1/4 inch tab is all that broke from becoming brittle in the heat.
Any ideas?
