Brass pump liner

Just wondering which model used a brass pump liner? I'm guessing it is brass or something similar. I have a 155 plastic body pump that was given to me with broken mounting tabs and a metal liner. I needed a new liner for my 98 xp and realized that brass one is the same dimensions. I know there are stainless steel liners but have not seen one like this.

Are the metal ones better? I haven't seen one but I've only been messing with these a short time. I think I like the plastic better. LOL Good Luck !!

Haven’t seen a brass one.

The metal liners won’t blow out but more damage occurs to the impeller when something hard goes through the pump.

Brass really surprised me. I have seen stainless rings but never a brass. You can see the scratch mark on the top surface, I used my knife to check it and the material is soft. If everything bolts up right I'm going to run it in my my 98 xp. I do not know what machine the broken pump came from, a friend just said "hey, take this thing" and I did.

I'd rather the brass that stainless steel and for the price... hey you can't go wrong. LOL How much clearance does it have??

Perfect on the clearance.

If I ever made one I'd tighten up the clearance to maybe .010" Of course I don't think that would better and would be more harmful should a problem arise. Let us know how it works out !! Good Luck !!

The brass 155mm was on the 1998s i believe. I've got one here that came off a 98 XPL or GSXL if I remember correctly.

Yes some 98 sea doos had a brass wear rings in gsx and Gtx ltd.i believe they where early release models.they are the serial numbered machines that had to have the plastic pump shoes resealed for a recall for leaking.

Does that have a cast brass stator veins also.i still have a brand new sea Doo brass pump in stock still I laugh Everytime I pick it up weighs a ton

Good news is the liner is working great in my XP.

I have a brass stator vaned pump in my 800LTD...heavy,,,yes,,,but indestructable!
