Hi, Just researching the best battery for a 2006 GTI SE ski as a replacement (four stroke -naturally aspirated). Also, where can I buy a replacement solenoid for the same. I charged my batteries ( I have two skis) and they both checked out at 12.3 -12.4 volts but one is clicking at the solenoid and rarely engages and I can jump the solenoid and it starts right up, while the other with no solenoid issue sometimes cranks and sometimes wont (even if jumped). So I'm thinking both batteries are weak and need replacing. I just want to buy the damned best batteries (long lasting preferably) and a new solenoid and see what happens next? Any ideas/ suggestions are appreciated. THANKS

I found the solenoids on Amazon for around 16.00 and free shipping with Prime. I saw some on Ebay for similar to less.

Following for the battery question as I need at least one as well.

I am looking for the absolute best marine replacement with the highest CCA and Reserve capacity available so it may last as long as possible. Any suggestions on brands and fitment number? These skis have a definite confined battery compartment area and strap. THANKS!

After a long slow battery charge the ski that has been clicking is starting sometimes but when it does it gives a F T code followed by 5 dashes or flashes on the instrument cluster. Can someone tell me where to find the answer to what the 5 flashes FT code means?

Use a battery for small tractors. The majority of people here use them since they are cheaper. My buddy has a car battery is his rxdi lol

Found the best battery today at my wholesale supplier for $99. It is a Deka AGM battery #ETX30L . It is about 5/8 inch shorter than original so I cut some rubber to fill in the tie down strap gap. It has about 100 more AMPS cranking power and should last twice as long. Put them in and the skis spin over and start at the flick of the switch. Read that as a big smile!!! worth the $19. price increase. The old batteries were barely weak 12.3 &12.4 V, but would not crank over the solenoid. Hope this keeps us wet for a while. Thanks

No they don't.... Spend a couple extra bucks and get something that wont get you stranded on the water,

I agree and that is why I asked the wholesaler what was his best battery for this application. 100 more CCA for $20 more and a longer life time.
