Beeper works when it wants to

I have a 97 GTX and sometimes when i put the lanyard on it beeps twice as if it is ready to start and other times it beeps really faint barely even enough to hear it. I tried pushing the start button five times to reset it and that didnt work. Do i need a new buzzer?? It works sometimes but other times it doesnt so im kinda confused.

Yeah, you probably need a new buzzer (beeper) or what ever any other tag has been put on it. Sounds like, with the age of the ski, it's going out. Mine is under my dash, it's about the size of a silver dollar and black.

Let me know if you can't find it or how to replace it......I'll see what I can do! :cheers:

can i use one of the buzzers from radio shack?? also how would i go about removing it? Thanks
