Just purchased a 2006 Seadoo GTI with 200 hours. It has been winterized for the last 2 years, and the battery that the seller sent with it was dead, no good anymore. I was at Walmart and purchased an Everstart battery, anyone have any knowledge on these? Price was $52 so that is what made it appealing, but then again I have read that you get what you pay for... any insight?

yes take it back, i heard bad things about walmart power sport batteries get a good one deka agm or odyssey. autozone sell a good agm duralast gold battery made by deka or heard good things about duracell agm. i would recommend to never skimp on a pwc battey as you get what you pay for and may leave you stranded and or ruin your day of fun. a weak battery is hard on the charging system. the 4 tecs need a good strong battery.

I use the yuasa wet cell batteries. I have been getting close to four years out of them. I leave them on a trickle all winter.

I am with Jammin... I run Odyssey or MotoBatt AGMs in my motorcycles and one of them has been in service for over 6 years now, without a tender.

AGM's are generally very good.. I bought one that happen to be trashed. Started the ski one time,,,,

Stranded me at the ramp. Gave it up for my trade in...

Thanks for the input guys. After reading I ended up order a Yuasa. Can't wait to get it out this weekend and put some fuel through the lines!
