my 97 xp battery died today on the water. The battery is good and charged now. I started it up and can only get the battery ar 13.15v running at higher rpm. I checked the wiring and it all seems to be good. What next?

Had same problem

Had the same problem with my 97 XP, turned out it was the rectifier. The rectifier has a clear coating you can see through and all I saw was mass amounts of corrosion. I think I payed $40 something for the replacement from Riva. Never had any more problems after the change. Always spray Sta-Lube or Wd-40 in the engine bay after getting her home and rinsed.

Would anybody have a link or a name of good batterys? I'm a newbie and i have the same problem.

Trying to research good batterys for my seadoo xp 1997. Many thanks :)

Joey

Thanks custompartsguy, looking into them now. Struggling to find powermaster battries in the UK/Ireland. But will look around for both of them.

Cheers,
Joey

Thanks Again, you've been a great help.

I'm going to store the details of that battery. The price looks really good in relation to the exchange rate to sterling. Its the delivery which will be really expensive :( but in the long run will benefit me.

Thanks,
Joey
