Hiya again,

Just in the process of getting an older xp I picked up back on the water. Would like to put a water shutoff on it though in case it ever needs to be towed. I've seen the horror stories of towing without clamping the hose properly :)

Which type ball valves are you guys all using? 1"?

Just wanna make sure I pick up the proper one that won't create any restrictions.

Should I used the valves with the barbed male ends, or some of those fancy sharkbite ones that slip inside the valve with no clamps? I just want to go with whatever is most reliable.
Thanks!

I would go bigger. Make sure full open is the correct size if not bigger. I just wrap a few turns on silver duct tape on correct line on each end. Write clamp here in black marker.Direction of flow of each line is cast on top of head. Put greased or Plastic Bagged vice grips set to right size in storage under seat. Put key wrapped around vice grips. So no run with it clamped. In struct family. Reinforce every outing
DID DAT ~~~~~ DUH!
