My 97 Challenger has all seats at the back of the boat, including driver.

At which year did the driver seat become a separate seat forward of the passenger seats, as pictured in the boat at the top of the screen I am looking at?

well correct me if i am wrong but isn't the one at the top of the page a Challenger 1800 and your's and mine are just Challenger's basically a 18ft to the 14.5 ft. boat. at least my 2001 challenger is set up like yours but i like pics so here are some for examples

hey smedt...you ever lose that spare on the 1800..cant figure where to mount mine, unless in front of fender. Darn tire hits the boat, anywhere else. Also, why you go from 1800 to the 14.5

Timmy, you paying me back for jacking that other thread???:boxing_smiley:

I have my spare in the same place but on the side. Boat never hits it. Just had to maneuver it around a bit so my jack handle thingy didn't hit it.

:lols::lols::lols:....now, thats some funny s**t.

Scoop..

hey...you've been to Mayflower County Park, right. Thought I read somewhere, that you have. How is it, been to McIntyre Park(south of 10, in Indio). Reason being, member on here mentioned that its 85 in AZ, so, got stoked and looked up weather out by border, and low/mid 80's for weekend. Have daughter, thought it be cool to rip da boat, only prob cant find a website or pics of place, and McIntyr has become a mobil home hang out...

Yah, spare on my 14.5 Sportster was perfect on right side of boat, up front, but this boat, have a 12in spare for now, and hits the darn thing

I grew up going to mayflower park almost every weekend. We had an outboard for a while, and then a big block jet boat. It was great. We tried a couple other places along the border, but Mayflower was always the nicest.

But...that was 1976. Last time I was there was about 15 years ago, just driving through, we stopped and it still looked nice, but we didn't go out on the water.

Just like anywhere else on the river, depending on water, there may be some sandbars.

There should be a phone number where you could call and get water conditions.

EDIT--Do a google search, lots pops up. here is the number for the park (760) 922-4665. Some pictures on there also. Looks nicer now than when we used to go. It has grass. Used to be just scrub brush and dirt. It IS a desert...

Water is up to 63 here, but in the 80s air temps. Really itching to go out, but the wind is really high, like in the 20s and 30s. Water is kinda choppy.

Gotta get wet soon...:ack:

I always thought the 1800 was just a 2-engine model. I wasn't aware that it was a longer boat...
yup, the larger challenger 1800 had twin 787cc and my smaller 14.5 ft. challenger has twin 717cc but i'll tell you my smaller challenger feels faster and is way more manuverable. you can get 2 engines in the smaller challenger; here is a pic of the back of mine (please excuse the black gunk i have not given it a proper wash yet since i bought it

nope never had any problems with the spair in that location, i used one of those U bolts that they sell for spare tires and used a lock where the wingnuts connect to secure it and it never moved. the 99 challenger 1800 was my father's boat, we sold that to get a pontoon for the family (still have a 96 Seadoo GTX for fun though) but i wanted a boat of my own and have always liked the size of the speedster's and just happened to find this 14.5ft challenger on craiglist in perfect condition (not a single tear in any of the seats:hurray:) and stole it in the middle of winter.

the 21ft pontoon (which is actually a lot of fun)

the 96 GTX (which yes i do wakeboard off of)
