I know it is cold and the forum slows down, but Ive checked in like 30 times and not a single new post.

Merry Christmas.

I think most are with family and friends. I am working on my GSX today and making it shine. I come on once and a while.

You're not the only one working. There's a couple people out there working the streets ;-)

Not working, but after lunch and family left it was nap time. Been on maybe three times today, MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE. I do hope it was a great one.

Tim ,you are the one that like to hit the water on Christmas. How is the family doing?
I think you said your wife had surgery or something a while back.

Yes, we did that 2 years ago on Christmas when it was 85 degrees. It was only 74 today.

Family is good... Our younger son turned 20 yesterday. Christmas was good. How about for you?

When will you be in Florida next?

The wife had carpel tunnel surgery back in April or May. She's doing great now, thanks.

I have been off all week and will be until January 2nd. Holiday time off, a little pto, and My work gives us the time between Christmas and New Years after being there 5 years. :) so I'll be bummin around the house and doing projects. Merry Christmas everyone!

I protect the major holidays every other year with leave. This was my odd year, and I got nailed. LOL.

7 years left and I will be forced to retire at age 57. That will give me 43 years of Federal service as my military time overlapped this job.

Then I can play,,,

i'm on vacation till jan 3rd, i get 3 weeks a year and take over a week off every year over the holidays as it's the slowest time at the shop.

The last time I had to work on Christmas.... I was a teen, in High School. Back then, I worked at the local Movie theater. We would be surprisingly busy on Christmas, and Thanksgiving day.

Anyway....

Yesterday was absolutely NUTZ in the Dr Honda House !!! Normally, I'm up early, (5:30 ~6 AM) and I can sit, and drink a little coffee, and check over the forums. Even on Christmas' past.... I will be up, and my kids will be sleeping until 7:30~8 AM. But this Christmas was totally different. My older kid is 7, and she was EXTRA excited, and out of bed early. (6am) This was the first year that she came into my room and said..... "Daddy... Santa came !!" So, I got up with her, and had to keep her at bay until my folks showed up. I let he open her stocking, and play with some of the toys she got the night before from my brother. So... I was opening boxes for her, and getting things ready for my guests.

Then, around 7am... my 2 year old wondered out of her room, and saw the tree. She went nutz, and wanted to dive right into it. This was the first year that she understood what all the wrapped boxes were.

Shortly after that, my folks and brother showed up, and the kids opened all their junk.

For the next few hours, I was opening boxes, and cleaning up paper. Oh... and for the guys who don't know... all the toys these days, have packages that are harder to get into, than Fort Knox. There was one doll that literally took me 10 minutes to get all the little parts out.

Then... follow that with the normal visits to friends/Family.... and by the time I got home... it was 10 PM, and I went to bed.

In the past 5~6 years... I can't think of a day that I didn't at least log in for a few minutes.

Sorry that got long, hope you guys had a good day.

That's what I was doing yesterday for my 3 and 6 year old. One remote control truck actually took me longer to unpack than it lasted. The wheel snapped off after about 3 minutes of driving.

Tip of the day - A can opener works well for blister packs. (I'm probably a day late and dollar short with that info for most people HA!)

Nope we're shutdown for the holidays. Doesn't matter for me as I had knee surgery so I'm trapped with a knee brace and crutches. Didn't slow me down today as I couldn't stand being inside anymore so I went outside and installed step bars on my truck.

I installed all new seals in a sterndrive today and dropped in a new reman motor after a 20-minute bench-run cam break in. Gonna button up the exhaust tomorrow, water test and drop it off back to the customer.
