I know this may sound dumb but, would someone please explain what "holding the throttle shaft in the closed position" means? I have a new TPS coming this Friday. Thank you.
Below is a copy/paste from the manual.
Turn key to the “ON” position.
Loosen screws securing TPS to manifold.
Loosen Two (2) Screws and Rotate TPS
Rotate TPS fully clockwise (holding throttle shaft in closed position). Start to rotate TPS
counterclockwise until a reading between .200 - .300 volts is achieved.
Loosen Two (2) Screws and Rotate TPS
Rotate TPS fully clockwise (holding throttle shaft in closed position). Start to rotate TPS
counterclockwise until a reading between .200 - .300 volts is achieved.
