'98 GTX Limited died yesterday

Completely shut down....no beeps, no lights, nothing. New battery and tight connections. Has run perfectly this season. Tried different lanyards, no change. What about fuses? I also read somewhere about running a ground wire? Computer box?

Yah..., check ALL the fuses and reppost....can't see why not, run an extra ground...

different lanyards for the dess won't work unless it is programed to the mpem. I would look at all the wiring from the power source and check them back to ground. Use a multi meter to do the test. make sure you have continuity to all the wires.1 broken or shorted wire would make all the difference in the world. Especially check the ground to the engine next to the starter. Keep us posted...

Thanks for the posts and advice. I was told there is a fuse in the plastic enclosed box by the battery. Assuming this is correct, where are the other fuses located. This is a '98 GTX Limited. Also, I just remembered, prior to this "shut down", the dash panel periodically posted "maintainance required".
