97hp???

Thanks for posting that up. So... a little massaging on the airbox may put it right at 100hp !!

I think a 97 Speedster with twin ACE engines would be the perfect small boat: fast, quiet, reliable, and best of all, it would burn under 6gph!!! I wonder where I could come across two engines and the ECU's for that? I mean, even if it comes to like $10k, IMO, it would still be a better looking/funner boat than anything out on the market right now. There just ISN'T a good small boat out there right now...

Yeah too bad they stopped producing boats. This would be a great idea for them, just like the old nimble twin speedsters except way more fuel efficient.

I've been thinking the same thing and wondering how hard the swap would actually be.

Can one confirm that vtech did flash the ecm to 110hp?

Also I just seen this video on YT. 74kmh= 46mph

Yeah that's not that bad , almost 50 mph. I'd really like to see some video of the average person ripin around. The videos from SeaDoo aren't really doing anything for me.

Have you seen this one?

The guy really spins the thing around during the night ride show.
You can see at around the 1:00 minute mark that the ski comes without the mat kit, also at 1:19 mark you can see the pump out of the ski and the new wear ring setup. It is just laying inside the hull of the open deck.

That's the first thing I thought ... Twin Ace sweet ....

Anyone know any actual WOT fuel consumption figures for the ACE yet? I read somewhere that the reported consumption figures were an average of the "Typical" day on the lake, including stops, idling and cruising. Am I the first one to call BS?? I bet these things burn in the neighborhood of 6gph at wide open. I doubt they're much more efficient (per unit of power) than the other 4tecs.

I typically am very very laid back but I'm gonna be blunt. GOOD GRIEF, NO ONE KNOWS YET(maybe BRP does and they're keeping it a big secret cause it drinks gas like a toilet drinks water). And does it really matter? It will be more efficient than a 2 stroke, just as fun and cheaper and smaller than a "plus size" ski. Yes, I think your are the one and only calling BS on this. When I hit the water, I'm not thinking how much fuel I'm going to burn and what the cost is, all I'm thinking about is how much fun I'm going to have and I hope the kids have as much fun as me. I know how far and long I can ride on a tank and when it empty I refill it or go home.

Perhaps you can win a big settlement like this lady did with Honda over her hybrid

I'm sure someone will come out with a larger tank as there seems to be room looking at the video Mr. Spark posted. Like I said I'm just going by the video, I have not seen one in person yet ,maybe someone that has can chime in. That was one of the down falls I had when I first learned about the fuel capacity. Like Racerxxx said , it's all going to come down to how you ride it. It's like that with anything that runs on fuel. Myself I ride the CT River a lot and we are always stopping at different areas. On my 96 GTI I don't have to worry all day about fuel, 12 gallon tank. Now the 8 gallon tank in the Spark I might be worried about going to far down river. We like to head down towards Essex CT where a lot of the big boats are so we can hit there wakes , around 5 to 6 ft tall.
