Legacy37 Well-Known Member Mar 1, 2025 #1 97 gti rotary valve shredded the bearing and gear. The little plug on the case behind the bearing that the manual says “do not remove”. How bad is it if it is removed?. Is it just epoxy back in or is the case ruined?

mikidymac Moderator Staff member Moderator Wednesday at 6:28 PM #3 You could try the epoxy on the plug. You need to split the cases to chang eout the shaft. You should also inspect al the bearings and seals. As well as determine why it stripped.
