Sure did. Look at the photo from when i picked it up their was no saving it
That hood was an easy resto. I've fixed worse. I'm almost done one that was painted black. Piece of cake, probably 2 hours work to mint that hood out. Soft scrub with bleach would have gotten 90% of that out, the last 10% is wipe new. I would have gladly resto'd those hoods for free just to save them from being painted.

Sure color wise i could have gotten it no problem and I'm well aware of the soft scrub trick. The large gouges and scratches all over the hood would not have come out though. Needed a paint otherwise I wouldn't have done it.

Getting closer! I also found a mint handlebar pad, its a bit dirty from installing and doing the finger throttle but when clean it looks new. Seat and final check over tonight and then testing Thursday if the weather holds out

lol i was just joking around it was late and i just threw them on.

Doing a final buff them ceramic coating tonight can't wait to see how it turns out

Interested to see how it holds up

Using Quartz ceramic coat

Are you talking about opt-coat? looks nice

cquartz?

optimum gloss coat is basically the next gen opti-coat 2.0....I believe is what they called it. There still is opti-coat pro which is now supposedly carrying a 5-7 year protection life. Which I find very optimistic.

Cquartz Dlux has been pretty amazing on my wheels on my Jeep. I'm less than impressed with how it laid down on my plastic roof. When that wears off i'll be replacing all of that with gloss coat. Particularly on the plastics. Wheels DLux is a lot more finicky to work with, but is holding up well.

If that wasn't clear gloss coat is a ceramic coating from Optimum and DLux is a ceramic coating meant for wheels and plastic from Cquartz. Just in case someone reads this and is like WTF? ha

50 for 30 ml

professional level detailing is not for the faint of wallet. :) Forget the amount of prep work that goes in to making the paint acceptable enough to put a coating on it. It's funny out of the 10 people I talk to about having their car detailed I'd say about 1 of those 10 actually follow through when I hit them with the cost. Keep in mind I'm cheaper and better than 99.9999% of all people that offer paint restoration in my area.

It's labor intensive. It takes a touch and an eye for detail. But unless it's a classic or exotic most people will not pay for it. They just want a wash and wax
