92 bombardeir starts only with 1 spark plung in please help me

this 1 got me stuck onley will start with 1 spark plug in dont no y when i put the number 2 plug in it wont start please help me

Try 2 new spark plugs and see what happens. You may allso need to cut 1/4 inch off of the plug wires. The plug wires should unscrew from boots and screw back in. :cheers:

tu for the reply butt when the other spark plug is out and hooked to the wire it is sparking fine it has a new carb on it too

i had just bought it 2 weeks ago off craigs list thay said it just needed a toon up dont no much more about it

Try 2 new plugs and trim back the wires as when the plug is grounded good it may not fire. You may have too weak of a spark for the coil to complete the spark across both plugs. This is how this system works! The spark travels down one plug wire across the gap in the spark plug threw the cylinder head across the the other spark plug gap and back up the other spark plug wire to complete the coil's circut. You may need a new coil or a magneto but you realy need to replace the easy stuff first as you may feel stupid after replacing a bunch of new parts and still have the same problem and then find out it was only plugs you may not be very happy with your self. I am not saying that it is the plugs or wires for sure but that is the first thing that I would do. :cheers:

so here i am agion

well i put 2 new plugs in it and tried agion and still have nothing i tried to start it on both plugs and nothing when i tried with onley 1 plug in it it started up so i pulled that plug out and it looks like it has oil and water on it y would water be on the spark plug and what woud i have to do to fix it PLEASE HELP

Anthony....might need time from work. With water on plugs, its leak'n, if not cracked somewhere. Do compression test first, dont have a gauge, Harbor Freight has one for 5 buks. 150psi is ideal., if acceptable, then i'd order a gasket kit(topend)...parkeryamaha.com, seadoosource.com, babbitsonline.com. At that point, i'd then order a carb kit as well, same place/s...your specs are...1992 GTS 587 270500152(carb #)-BN-38 (SB) MAIN-125 PILOT-67.5 2.0n/s 22 - 29psi LOW- 1 HIGH- 0.

Anthony...are you saying that the motor won't crank over or it just does not start?

i can get it to start with the number 2 spark plug out and it will run and rev fine butt when i put the number 2 plug back in it just turns over butt it wont start
