2006 Seadoo Speedster Wake 4TEC 1503 Supercharged Engines

I have a loss of 500-1000 RPM on the Port engine which occurs at all speeds buts appears more prevalent while cruising between 4000-5000 RPM. Have installed new coils and plugs, swapped fuel rails, injectors, fuel feed lines between engines. Had the superchargers rebuilt with steel washers. Symptons remain.

Well your lucky in that you have two engines, so you can swap parts until the symptom moves to the other engine and then replace that part.

1. Start with ECU - Very easy to swap 4 fasteners and the "A" and "B" ecu connectors
2. Could be superchargers - next easiest (just rebuilt mine). Just count your lucky stars you have big bilge (can't imagine all the stuff you'd have to remove to get the SC out in a ski)

Swap the ECU's and post back ..

EDIT ... Did you do the supercharger rebuild? If so did you make any changes to the throttle cable on that engine? This cable controls your throttle body opening. It uses the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) to send a signal back to ECU to let it know where the throttle position is. If you make any changes to this its almost a must to have the TPS reset back to ZERO. Otherwise its all screwed up and you can have unsynched engines / engines that can't reach max rpms etc.

K, with engine off / lanyard off ..

Put both throttle levers to wide open. Then go back to engines and see if the thottle body plate is open all the way on each engine. You'll probably find that you have more play on the problematic engine and it isn't reaching wide open.

Post back results of test.

The port engine will drop 500-1000 RPM for a short period of time and then recovers, it does this over and over, but is more prevalent at higher RPM. Thinking the EMU is sensing a fault from the CTS, OPS or the EGTS and decreases engine performance until the fault
condition goes away.

Will post about the play in the throttles after checking.
