Hello, new to the seadoo community and to this boat, if someone can help it would really appreciated, i already download the service manual and is not where pointing the ecu pinout (from the ecu to the motor cables).. I'm asking this since the previous owner cut all the wires between the ecu and the motor harness, so i don't know which wire goes to which...if someone can help it would be really appreciated...also the motor was running when i got it, but it wouldn't go above 2k rpms, so someone suggested a compression test (126 psi) all around, but the gas pump wasn't wire correctly or i guess nothing was, so i did the stupid mistake to disconnect all the wires and now im stock...please help....thanks in advanced.

This is my motor and wires i was talking about.

Hey Dr Honda...thank you for the response...im looking for the pinout from the ecu pigtail wire to the engine wire harness...particularly im looking for the wire that connects the black/red wire that supposedly connects the pin 2 of the ecu to the negative of the fuel pump...but the pin 2 of the ecu i dont know which is the wire for it...since they cut all of them.

Is to do it the right way, and reconnect everything the way it supposed to be and start diagnose the original problem from there...which it was not acceleration at full throttle, the boat wouldn't pass 2k rpms.

No... the Challenger isn't the same as the Islandia... but the core of the wiring is the same.

The ECU, and engine wiring is in the Mercury manual.

In the past... did it seem like the engine was hitting a wall when it gets to 2000 RPM? Like it's on a rev limiter? If it was... you may have a bad throttle guardian. Not all the boats had them... but if yours does... rip it out and throw it away.

Thank you Dr Honda for your response...lm trying to find another ECU with the pings and wiring harness...l believe thats the whole issue.

You could try running a ground wire from the vst fuel pump to an engine ground. You would have to do this with the boat in the water since the fuel pump would run continuously. The black/red wire would have to be disconnected as well. This would at least tell you if the vst pump was the source of your trouble.

Thats the way i have it done...since i dont know where the black/red wire connects to the ecu pin...i was looking too see if someone has an extra ecu they willing too sell or they be willing to just cut through the protector of the wire and tell me which color is the number 2 pin wire coming from the ecu that connects to the black/red wire of the engine harness.

And if you look a the wiring diagram the black/red wire connects to the red purple wire from the ECU...but thats my problem l dont have a red/purple wire from the ECU...lm just trying to find out if this is the right ECU and if someone has the same.

That diagram is the right one. If your colors don't match up... then there are deeper issues.
I come to believe they put the wrong ecu on this boat...cause they can't find the wiring colors...and yes Dr Honda you right they send me the same diagram same color match as the one i have...so i be looking for one ecu.

Hello again, is been a few days...well after receiving a new wire harness for the engine and also a new ecm...plug and play...no more cut wires im still with the same problem no acceleration at full throttle, idles perfect.

Check your :

Fuel pressure. Key on, then off. How fast does the pressure drop? Can you check it at WOT with engine running? Should still hold 36psi.

Ignition trigger. Specs in the book.

Fuel filters. There are 3.

Ignition timing.

The fuel filters i have a brand new one for the electrical pump...the one on the Vst i clean up whem i opened up...which is the 3 rd one...sorry for asking...lm super new to boats.

The boat dont do anything when l move the throttle all the way forward...neither on the water or the trailer.
