So after changing the oil and spark plugs in my 2006 Seadoo Sportster (2nd edition with about 300 hours run time) I took it for a pre-season test run of about an hour. No issues noted until coming in 400 yards from the dock. While at idle the buzzer went off and low pressure oil light illuminated! I shut off the engine by pulling the DESS key out and restarting. That reset the buzzer and light for about 200 yards but then they both went off again. I loaded up the boat, went home and started to do some research online. Apparently with the 4TEC engines, the oil pressure sensor going bad is a common issue. The 2006 and above models have a gray colored plastic body while the earlier models have two sensors, one of which is a black colored identical looking plastic body. Make sure you order the right one. I ordered part number Sea-Doo New OEM Oil Pressure Switch, 420856533, from Amazon and replaced the sensor. It was a ten minute job and fixed the issue for about $37!!! Hopefully by posting this I'll save somebody an expensive trip to the dealer. If you do an internet search there is even a YouTube video of a guy explaining the difference between the sensors and where they're located.
