I would very much appreciate if someone out there with the same year/model boat can tell me what holds the center windshield door from sliding down when its in the closed position. I see what appears to be a screw hole halfway down, but I'm not sure what's missing. I've checked the parts listing but they do not show anything. Right now the center door panel can be slid right out by pulling it up, and when it's closed, the two plastic bow ties do not hold it in place and it slides down with bottom edges cutting into the back of the bow top seat cushions. If you have the same model, a picture or two would be great. Thanks.

I don't understand your posting. This is where picture could help. I have a 2006 challenger. The center windshield flips in place from the port side of the boat.

My boat has an option for a windscreen that goes into the passage way from the cockpit to the bow. I can snap something in place to block the wind. Are you asking about that?

Difficult for me to get a picture as the boat is at the cottage, so I found something that resembles it closely. The CS model comes with a full wrap around windshield, and in the middle there is an access walkthru door. On the hinged side of the door, it freely moves up and down, so there must be some way of securing it, while still being able to swing it open and closed. $_57.JPG

I was able to get a few photos of the actual boat, so disregard the ones in the previous post. As you can see the front windshield pass-through door, when closed slides downwards freely. In the other photos you can see a notch and pin or screw (missing), that would likely hold it in place, yet still allow it to swing open. I dont know if I lost this piece, or if the boat came like this from the previous owner, so I've no idea what is supposed to go in there. I have seen the 2007 model, but they changed it to a full length hinge. Appreciate any thoughts/ideas. Thanks.WFront2.jpgWFront3.jpgWFront4.jpg

The part your looking for is a white nylon kind of a half moon that fits in that slot and secures with a screw to keep the window from sliding out of position. When I took my windshield off that part had to be removed or it won't slide out. I'll see if I have any pics or if I can find the part number.

Much thanks CSager, it's good to know what it is I'm looking for. Now next question would be where to get it.

Work has been difficult and I have not been on. Yeah there is a retaining clip to hold the window in the hinge. You could jam a small piece of wood to keep it from going down until the collective finds a solution.

The windshield on his boat is from Taylor Made, so I poked around the web and found this part. It looks like the one, now it's just a matter of ordering it and trying it on. http://www.taylormarine.com/hardware/drawings/retainer_clip_inst.pdf

Thanks for your feedback.
Thanks for finding it. When I took my screen off the year before I never could find a manufacture name on it. What about the seal. I used a ACE Hardware seal and it's drying out due to the heat.
