Ok I know I going to get ridiculed but oh well.
I have just bough a 2002 sea doo bombardier
Two stroke , I don’t know much about it.
I hav had it out in the water six times and no problem, ok last weekend let my niece use it well I gave her the key that restriction the sea doo. Well after she use it my brother went for a ride well it won’t stay idling and sometimes it’s like it is still have the restriction key in it.

Well I got on it and after a bout twenty starts and dies I got it to run like a it should fast. But as soon as I left oif the idle it would die. I have no clue what it is can anyone help pls

Please tell us the model so we can point you in the right direction. Some things are model specific.

Well poop! That’s a DI as in Direct Injected and one of the hardest to diagnose. I would start with two new spark plugs and see if that fixes it. Only use NGK ZFR4F-11 plugs and absolutely nothing else. Whatever you do don’t keep riding it as it won’t get better.

I suggest replacing the two fuel filters before doing anything as they can cause this too and the $800 fuel pump to go out.

Ok. I replaced the plugs and for the fuel filters
I seen one but when I gave the guy the part number he said it didn’t pull up on his computer meaning someone switch out the original, well when change plugs notice they had a lot of carbon on them , talked to some and they say that’s a sign of bad gas. So I put plugs in and it will idle but not for long I need some help here please I’m not a mechanic but I can handle instructions and my brother is a some what mechanic. Well any was told to run out gas have in it and run 91 octane instead of 87 octane. I have no clue on what or why this doing this so all help is appreciated thanks

Sooo.... what do you think it is ? I remember you saying mine is direct injection and it is harder to diagnose the issue so what can I do?

Changing octane won’t make any difference.
Well I appreciate your response but I ask you another question and you left me hanging, but I found the issue and am willing to share it if any one has the same problem I did. You won’t believe me on what it was.
