Hey

Have a 2001 XP and throttle cable is sticking and needs replacement. Wondering what is the function of the electrical socket on the thorttle cable?
Oil jet/pump has been removed and i am manually mixing oil and gas, so considering to use a regular throttle cable without the socket.

It changes the ignition timing at 80% throttle. It is needed and has to be calibrated. Procedure is in the service manual. Without it working you will not reach top rpm/speed.
