I have a Millenium edition GTX that I just put a new battery in and it runs great but the info display is showing 12V low? Do I have a magneto problem or what else can I check?

Thanks!

Attach a voltometer to the battery with the ski off. record voltage. should be 11.6 to 12.4 ish.

start the ski, test voltage again (you did hook it up to water right?) at idle or anything higher you should be seeing power levels HIGHER than with the ski off. usually 14-15v. anything higher or lower means you have a problem.

it's either the stator or MPEM.

I replaced my stator last year. a ohm meter and the sea-doo magneto plug tool will tell you if it's the stator. (or a 1/4 hr labor at the dealer).

because the tool that plugs into the stator is like $30... for how many times you will use it...? meh.

does it always say 12v low? if it goes away it's no big deal, seadoo set the 12v low warning too low in my opinion so if it starts fine, runs fine after plenty of use then it's fine.

OK - finally had a chance to hook up a voltmeter. Ski off 11.6V - start the ski and it still reads 11.5 give or take. No change whatsoever in the volts. Where can I find a magneto plug tool? If it is the stator how difficult is it to replace and what do they cost? Thanks!!
