Hi, I am new to the forum. Hopefully this will be an easy question for you guys. So I purchased a used 2000 GTX. There is no power to the boat, when I test the leads 3-26 and 3-17 which is power to the computer there is no 12V. when I check 3-26 to the engine block I get 12V. 3-17 ground leads back to the rear electrical box, When I jumper the end of this wire which is attached to the coil mounting bolt to the engine block the whole electrical system comes alive.
Therefore the 3-17 wire is not grounded. Where is the proper ground inside this box, to attach the 3-17 wire. see the attached screen shot. Green arrow is where the wire attaches to the coil mounting bolt, Red arrow is ground, Where do i connect this?
Hoping you can help, I didn't want to drill a hole through the plastic box and attach a wire directly to the block if I don't have to.
Thanks,
