New member. Ok I have a 2000 Seadoo GTI I’ve owned it for 4 years now. Last year I had to put a new MPEM box in it do to it was fried. Now this year I have had it out about 4 times and now this past weekend I sprayed degreaser in the hull to clean it out and washed it out. I then hooked it up to hose started right up and ran for a few min then shut it off and went to the lake. All I did was gas it up before arriving at lake and when I backed it into the water it just kept turning over strong but wouldn’t even try to start. Paddled to shore pulled plugs out they were wet with gas went to check spark and I have none. Battery is charged and good please give me some ideas on what could be wrong. Also for a side note I’ve noticed this year that my battery dies down after a few days of ski not running but if i un hook battery from ski it stays charged. Please help.

Did you have spark again once you pulled the ski back out of the water and dried the plugs? If the plugs are wet, you won’t see them spark...

Did you do a load test on the battery, a weak battery may start the ski, but not produce enuf juice, for the coil, and thus foul (a),/ your plugs.

How about a bad contact due to washing? This Spring I detached all my contacts and applied some dielectric grease just in case.

You have a wet connector somewhere. Also is your new MPEM OEM or aftermarket.

MPEM is an aftermarket one. I was thinking something got wet too but what puzzles me is it started at my house right after I washed hull out then when I went to lake it was like someone flipped a switch no spark.

I would suspect the aftermarket MPEM, I don't recall one that has worked correctly.
