I'm looking at possibly purchasing some new 08/09 RXP's. I was wondering is there a great deal of difference in cornering and maneuverability between the 2 and 3 seaters. We recently rented a pair of yahama 3 seaters and they didn't seem to really cut into the corners etc. I just remember riding my buddies 99 RXP a long time ago and seemed to recall it would tip very easily and really allowed you to bank sharply into corners and pull more tricks, etc, If I'm remebering right. Do 2 people fit comfortably on the new 2 seaters? Are they MUCH more maneuverable? Are there any pro/cons between having a 2 seater vice 3 seater. Thanks!!

I have a 3 seater RXTX, for doing those tricks its not as manuverable like some smaller skies. its almost 11 feet long so it will not whip around like a smaller ski. 255HP engine will also try to throw you off with all that power, I hurt myself a few times doing the tricks. gave it to a friend and he came back after a minute said he likes to live lol

3 seaters, more like a 4-door car.
2 seaters, more like a 2-door car, and a bit snappier, or crisper, at everything.

3 seater, better for towing skiers/tubes/boards/
2 seater, better for tricks.

I have used both an RXP 215 and a RXT-X 255 for a ton of hours. Personally I prefer the 2 seater rxp....it is much more fun for fooling around. The older doos esp the 99xp that you are talking about were pretty unstable. The majority of time on my RXP has been with two people and it is very stable...you have to try to tip it or throw yourself off. Personally I would never buy a 3 seater, they aren't even really meant for 3 full sized people!

Get the 2 seaters....you won't regret it!

Forgot to mention....one reason to considering a 3 seater is the towing ability. In a lot of states/provinces it is illegal to tow behind a 2 seater because you need a space for a spotter and the person you are towing.

Thanks for thr replies. We could want to tow a tube or something in the future so thanks on the heads up about the towing laws. Think the wife will be happy with a 3 seater and I can get the 2 seater for myself. Plus if she has the 3 seater I can get her to take the kids and I can run off by myself on my own ski  Well maybe sometimes anyway!!
