I have a 99 GTX RFI that has been sitting up for about 9 months. Found out the starter was bad. Fixed it and still wouldn't turn over at all. Found out the pistons were stuck. I was able to free it pretty easily. Once I did, I pulled the head and cleaned what I could. Wasn't that bad. Put it back together and it turned over and is trying to start but won't. Checked the spark and it was good. Compression seems to be the problem. One cylinder has 120psi, the other about 70psi. Haven't dug into it to see what might be the cause of the 70psi. Didn't know if a bad head gasket or something simple like that would help first. Otherwise, I guess it's the rings, piston etc. Any thoughts.

Both those numbers are below the spec. Rotax engines need compression for the fuel to ignite and expand rapidly = power. This is not happening, you have minimal combustion.

Thanks. I was able to get it started and running. I checked the compression after that and it's about 140psi. So much better.
