This ski has been a journey over the past 2 months! I bought it with a bad motor and fuel and oil that had been sitting in it for 2 years. I had zero experience working on these type of motors going into this, but have learned a ton (mainly through mess-ups, but thats part of it)

I apologize up front for the long book, but i'm stumped and exhausted with it.

Fast forward to today, SBT 717 arrived today and got it all installed tonight.

- I bought a carb rebuild kit... found a .pdf on here to rebuild, but did not have the pop off tester. I took it apart and it looked surprisingly spotless. Went ahead and replaced all gaskets and filters. Put it back together (I guess I ordered for a dual carb as I received two rebuild kits, therefore, I can go through it all again, if needed). Reinstalled
- Ordered a new RV & had SBT install & time it for me
- Siphoned all old gas out, Replaced all grey fuel lines with new line, cleaned fuel filter up front.
- Got all old oil out, new oil in, with new in-line filter, all old lines where cleaned out

Everything is hooked up as according to microfiche I found on here. I bled the oil line through bleeder screw, oil lines are full, no bubbles.

I am at the point now to where there is NO fuel in the lines coming from the tank. I can pour a little gas down the carb and it will fire up and run great until fuel is burned up. Pull the plugs, they are a little wet, but not fouled that I can tell.

I pulled the return line to the gas tank and blew in it as I saw recommended on here to prime the fuel line. I can hear the air getting to the tank and bubbling the gas in the tank. Still no fuel to the carb.

I am leading to believe the fuel selector, but I unscrewed the fuel filter cover and there is gas in it, so I'm wondering where my problem is? If you think it is the selector, how do I pull it off and clean it? Does it sound like my fuel pump?

I really needed to have this ski running and broke in by this weekend, but my goal is fading fast

Sorry again for the long post, but I'm trying to figure this thing out!!

are you sure you don't have the return and supply lines mixed up? what you describe is exactly how it will act if they are reversed.
use an empty quart of oil and put fresh gas in it and put a hose in it and hook that up to the supply line and run it like that. it will help diagnose the problem and eliminate the rest of the fuel lines.
the fuel lines will typically prime very quickly, just a few seconds after it starts running.
also make sure your pulse line is connected as well to the crankcase and carb.

I'm an idiot and put the pulse line cover on the carb the wrong direction... fixed it and it fired right up... thanks for the help!
